Hi, I'm Daniela Capistran, a bilingual journalist from Brownsville, Texas, currently reporting for the Rio Grande Guardian. I recently graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a degree in English and a minor in Journalism.
I currently report for the Rio Grande Guardian, where I cover local news, economic development, education and community issues across the Rio Grande Valley. I also write for Her Campus, covering culture amd style for a national audience. I'm passionate about telling stories that connect with younger audiences while bringing greater visibility to the experiences and perspectives of Latino communities.
